DYEING
Color Blending 101

Learn to select and blend for gorgeous colors. We’ll sample different ways of blending and talk about color theory. You’ll go home with blended fibers ready to spin or felt. Use your fibers in our wet felting class following this class.

We provide the pots, kitchen and quiet atmosphere, and you bring the fiber! Dyes and mordant extra, based on usage.
Indigo Dyeing Workshop

Experience the wonder and awe of indigo dyeing! We’ll be blending modern science and folklore about indigo to create rich, blue yarns and fibers. You’ll go home with a skein or 4 oz fiber to work up!
WEAVING
Weave a Fleece Rug- Anytime!

Schedule a time and days to come in and weave on our loom in the Knitter’s Hideaway upstairs. Come, select your colors, and we’ll get you going to weave a beautiful fleece rug for your home!

Using a gorgeous angora- merino yarn from the Co-Op, we will dye it the first week using hand painting methods and then start knitting the scarf the second week. Learn to read lace charts and expand your knitting horizons. It is a cozy neck scarf- sure to become your favorite scarf for fall.
Intro to Crochet with Amber Corbett

Yarn as an Art Expression

Blend fibers, fabrics, threads and other materials into creative batts and spin a textured yarn. We’ll be making an unique art skein starting from the fiber prep to the finished yarn. Learn to express color, emotion and meaning in your skein.

Using a felt backing, we will create a sunflower wall hanging using felting techniques, pre felts, appliqué and many other embellishing techniques.
